So out of the blue, my internet is almost twice as fast in both download and upload, yet no changes to my plan or how much I pay has been made. Let's hope it sticks and isn't just a glitch or something.

Seriously, earthlink was awesome before, now it's AWESOMERRR (it has good free usenet)

My computer ends up like that sometimes. Sometimes when I download some stuff it downloads at a speed of only 20-30kb/s, recently it's at 300-600+kb/s, and I didn't do anything.

Yeah, but I specifically pay for 6Mbps internet, and now I get 10Mbps down.

I remember when the same happened to me. I had a 5Mbit, and found me suddenly with a 10Mbit. I thought "awesome, now let's just hope a lightning won't crash on my telephone line, as if I'll need to call them to restore my line, they'll also notice this "little" speed boost".

The lightning came 6 days later
