You all know about CISPA by now, right? One of the many, many power-grabs the government has made towards the internet. At this time, it is once again relevant. The bill has passed House voting, voting has gone to the senate, and so has debate. That, of course, means some incredibly irrelevant points will be made, and this is one of them.

    Fear-mongering at its finest.

Well, the White House already publicly vetoed the bill, and internet warriors have already prepared themselves for a second mass protest. This will be SOPA all over again.

I, on behalf of every person that actually understands technology that lives in Texas, apologize for our senator's insanely technophobic views.

    3. What in the hell are "digital bombs"?
    4. How are these so called "digital bombs" related in any way to the more then 80 people injured in the bombing.

    Digital... bombs?

Texas should focus on selling propane and propane accessories, that's what they're good at.

OH! That's what the digital bombs must be made of! Texas isn't talking about the Internet, just going to war with North Korea :D

The Texas fatality that happened today, was quite awful. I find it kind of strange, first Boston. Than Texas?

Uh.... digital bombs are real, they just aren't called that. They are phone bombs.
They are detonated when you call a certain cell phone number that has bombs attached to specific wiring inside the cell phone, triggering the boom boom, and very welly could have been the type of bombs used in the Boston marathon.

But yea, this politician seems to think that the internet is to blame somehow.... That's just flat out stupid.

I'm pretty sure that when this guy says "digital bombs" he just means "viruses and hackers and shit".

Knowing his (insanely low) technical knowledge, he might be. Either way though, it's insanely stupid trying to link the Boston bombs with the internet at all.

Well, with crap like this happening, no one is ever going to take Texas seriously.*Sigh* As a Texan, I feel ashamed by this idiot politician.

I think this politician should be fired.

Here's a sad thing. A terrorist is someone who uses terror for their own agenda. Plain and simple definition.

Edit: I was pointing that out for a reason. Bad reason, but a reason none-the-less.

What makes you think they aren't planning that? They've been using it for everything else that's gone wrong. Only games they don't blame are family games, but you know it's in the works.

    Between insane and insecure
I bring up the idea to create a thread titled, "Stupid shit Senator say." This will solve time and effort put into making a thread every time a senator says something stupid.

I second the idea. We should make a database for this. Whenever we want to have a laugh, we just call up the list, read, and grin. But we don't think. No. We never think. It's the only way to understand a politician, by thinking like them, or lack there of.

Poor guy...he must have inhaled too much toxic gas. There's simply no way he's not delusional.

"a controversial bill that would allow private companies to share information about cyber threats with the federal government."

For some reason, I doubt this means they can do something like call the police to report it.

It is the duty of every American citizen to never ever let this guy live it down, ever, for the rest of his life. Bring it up whenever he is mentioned. Preface every bit of discussion about him with "Mike McCaul, the lying scumbag weasel who tried to use the Boston tragedy for his own personal gain..."

He's not delusional, he's just lying. Simple as that.
