You might wonder: how will the final round work as there are 5 winners?
Well although we haven't decided yet, I can guess it will be a sort of mini championship.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I lost against Hitto in the first round in Mario Kart. I then said to my brother: "Man, that Hitto is unstopable I think..." And look who won

There was a Mario Kart DS touney atleast, as you can tell by Hitto's member title.

maybe you should run the semi-finals world cup style having each player play all of the others in a 5 game match.

points are then awarded to each player based on the games that they won in each of the 5 game matches and the top 2 players advance to the finals.

example:
player 1 plays player's 2, 3, 4 and 5 each a 5 game match
player 1 defeats player 2 with a score of 5-0 = 5 pts
player 1 defeats player 3 with a score of 3-2 = 3 pts
player 1 loses to player 4 with a score of 1-4 = 1 pt
player 1 defeats player 5 with a score of 3-2 = 3 pts

at the end of the semi-finals, player 1 has 12 pts.

this is repeated for the other players (each playing all of the their 4 opponents) and the 2 players with the top scores advance to finals (and the next two fighting it out for 3rd place).

As an option to thieves' suggestion, make those matches winner take all so whoever has the most points at the end of their 4 matches would be 1st place, and so on down.
