OFFICIAL TETRIS DS TOURNAMENT
I can already hear you say: it's about time!, and I won't deny it, it was quite long.
I've been working on this alone... so please be kind with the poor Costello

Ah, nevermind me! Let's go with the news!

So, yeah, I've got a few interesting links for you.

Tetris DS Friend codes list
Here is a complete list of all the tetris DS friend codes. It also shows who participates in the tournament!

Tetris DS Tournament Matches List - Round 1
Here we are. This is it! The full list of matches. I invite you to read the rules again!
Click here to check the list of matches
Find yourself in the list, and click on the little icon on the right to access your match topic.
Remember, the matches are grouped 2 by 2, this is why there's only 1 topic for 2 matches!
And finally, here is the Tournament forum in which match topics are stored.

RULES UPDATE!
:: You have 2 weeks to find a time and play your match ::
:: Now the first to 3 WINS (instead of 2) wins the game! Which means you're going to have to win 3 games ::

-----

I'd now like to wish a good luck to Indis for her match

Dang. Right before I checked GBATemp, I was hoping the tournament wouldn't get finalized until after finals. Right now it's smack dab in the middle of projects, rushed exams, and finals. Woot!

Edit: Nevertheless... LET THE GAMES BEGIN!

Wait wait wait...i don't think i'm following the first to three wins thing...does that mean the first player who wins three games will move the next match?

Ditto, but I believe he ment best 2 out of 3 but he does need to reword it in any event because it is slightly confusing. So is it 2 or 3 wins to advance per match?

Great work setting it up.

I'm slightly confused by the rule change, I thought the idea was, you play the person you're paired against, then play the winner of the other pair, but:

QUOTE said:

So how do the games go now?

Sounds like a good idea because it'll help skill show through over luck, but how is the structure going to work now?

^It still is.

Player 1 and 2 play until one gets 3 wins. Say player 1 wins.
Player 3 and 4 play until one gets 3 wins. Say player 3 wins.
Player 1 and 3 play until one gets 3 wins. Say player 1 wins.

Player 1 is the winner.
