According to the description of Tetris in the Apple App Store, Tetris for mobile has been downloaded over 100 million times (these are paid downloads). At $5 per download, that's a $500 million+ dollar profit (excluding Apple's fees).

Now, I ask you, is this even possible? Have 100 million iPod touch, iPhone and iPad units even been sold? Could this number include other mobile phones?

Seems like not everyone's happy with it though. Sticky controls, ghey startup times, etc.

It's the most popular and the best puzzle video game EVER MADE. They pretty much struck out when they got the rights to it, when you think about it. Why they paid that cash for it, though, I don't know. The iPod version sucks ass.

    Actually from what I hear

    - it's the same people who keep downloading it... they keep losing the previous version when the iPod/iPhone/iPad crashes & has to be reset to 'default' [IMG]

Well, that'd be the biggest deal-breaker since slowdown in a Sonic game.

I have no idea how good or bad the iphone version is, but I pray to jesus the Tetris Party sequel for wii and ds has spot-on hair-trigger controls UNLIKE the first one. Tetris DS STILL best tetris ever

Tetris PSP Mini > Tetris DX > Tetris DS. The new modes are creative and fun, and the controls are spot-on. I'd like them to develop a more full featured version of the mini, it would pretty much be the definitive modern Tetris.
