Local wifi? Like, as in adhoc? I thought they couldn't do that in homebrew.

They can, using liblobby, but it's been abandoned and probably doesn't work anymore due to compiler updates. Still cool that it was used in this project though.

Now to get myself access to another DS to test it out.
