As some of you may know, an experimental texture replacement function was included in a branch of the original Ryujinx project which was never merged into master. The reason for this is that the texture replacement function is very buggy and causes serious issues with certain games, for example, the Breath of the Wild texture pack doesn't work at all. For this reason, Greem doesn't want to merge the old texture replacement function, but he is open to merging the texture dumping function. This could still be useful to the modding community, as there are other, probably better, ways to load textures than the buggy texture replacement function. For example, rebuilding the XCI file with the enhanced textures or loading them as part of a custom graphics mod with the quirks of that particular game taken into account. However, we need people to test that the texture dumping function works as intended.
Click here to download the texture dumping builds, as well as the experimental texture replacement build if you would like to try that for some reasons.
Please join our discord server located here, and offer feedback in the #testing thread if you can confirm that the texture dumping function works correctly.
EDIT: See here for an archived discussion of the original texture replacement build, as well as here for the current GitHub issue.
