Nicotine is not what's causing cancer. It causes the addiction, but also makes sure that you don't feel the tar that's in the tobacco smoke, until it's out of your system.

Have you ever heard the saying, "The plural of anecdote is not data"? To put another way, would you hate all black people if one was rude to you?

That makes no sense, especially since I, myself happen to be black and the people who did it were not.
The majority of the people in this area who smokes weed are complete idiots.
The people I do know who smokes weed aren't even close to this area.

It shouldn't.
If it was up to me I'd ban every drug except the ones required for extreme medical purposes.

YES it should be legal, but not accesible to all (of course), in Mexico now is legal to carry 5gr........not legal to use, but at least if you have a joint in your pocket you wont go to jail...!!

It'd be nice if those saying no would consider the entire topic, being cannabis (entire plant with a multitude of uses), not just the part you can smoke.

Legalizing it would allow large companies to go into the business, and the competition would destroy the small (currently illegal) operations. It would be grown, processed and sold by large tobacco companies, and that would enable constant control and surveillance. Legalizing the production of marijuana would get rid of all the current marijuana-related crime, enforce strict control of the end product, and generate a lot of money in taxes.

^ This. It would also help to cut down on the number of new heroin and crack addicts as people buying pot wouldn't come into contact with less than scrupulous drug dealers. The benefits of legalising weed far outweigh the few cons that the the uninformed go on simply because it's said by the moral majority.

Again, we have found a solution. Legalize Cannabis/Marijuana, but keep its use controlled.

Whew, this one was tricky.
