Telltale's first episode of Minecraft: Story Mode, will be releasing on October 13 of this year, for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Mobile versions will release two days later on the 15th. Wii U and Vita versions will also follow, at a later date.

Wha? I thought it was going to play like Minecraft, not a shitty 2 hour long quicktime event like all of Telltale's other games. I wish Telltale would go back to Sam and Max or just die off before they ruin another franchise.

Anybody else surprised that this is coming to wii u, I never played a telltale game so is there any thing I should expect or be disappointed about.

Man, that sure is a lot of hate. What's so bad about adding a story to Minecraft? I bet you guys wouldn't have had a problem if Minecraft had a story mode from the start.

Telltale makes some pretty good games. Hopefully this one will be more like Tales from the Borderlands than Game of Thrones.

Telltale Games' games are mostly point and click with QTE. QTE is usually the complaint in most games, but in their case, it's not an action game ruined by a QTE that takes you out of the moment. The QTE are the moment. Check out a gameplay video from one of their games to see how it works.

I'm pretty sure the hate is coming from adding substance to something where there originally was none. They probably dislike the Sonic, Pac-Man, etc. cartoons for the same reason.
