So there IS an issue with the SX NSP installer. Maybe I missed something, but what do you mean you do it by hand? How exactly?

Testing and being "safe". But all I care about is internal trinket and NAND backup, so EmuNAND is useless for me.

I'll let others explain its pros and cons in detail. From what I understand (and I could be way off) emunand creates an emulation of your sysnand. So you can use cfw to play games offline using emunand and when you want to play games online, you disable emunand and play games using your sysnand.

Again i'm not 100% sure this is what its purpose is (or if I am correct with what I stated) but I believe this is the main reason people want emunand.

I have emunand enabled but I am going to disable it and delete the files as I never plan on going online / dont care about being banned.

Just make sure you have a nand backup

Has anyone figured out if theres a way to migrate an existing non partitioned emunand over to the new partitioned emunand? My sysnand is empty and legit while my emunand is dirty and full. I just want to migrate my existing emunand microsd to the new partition type.

Yeah but 99.9% of switch users already used homebrew on sysnand so.. And also we have nand backups so using it for security reasons is useless in my opinion.

In case of a file system corruption (exFAT support is unstable) you get to keep your files outside of the emuNAND partition. With the file based one, you would lose everything.

    I agree

I only had my emunand enabled as I read a post on here saying that having emunand enabled and using choixdujour was a good way to upgrade my switch's firmware. I now realize that I could just update my firmware using choixdujour and not having emunand enabled

If I am already running EMUNAND on my SD card with v6.10 then do I just update my Firmware to v6.20 with ChoiDujour for my EMUNAND?

What's the method to go from

    Emunand on SD as files
    to
    Emunand on SD as partition

    Delete emunand + start over
    Or there's a migration option
    Something else?

I'm in the same boat as you, hoping someone has done this and has an answer for us/everyone. You also forgot to say that you'll add the sx os 2.4 boot file on your sd card before you update to 6.2:ha:

Right now I'm leaning on disabling emunand entirely

What is the game that has 6.2 firmware for me to extract and update through ChoidujourNX? I don't care too much about burning fuses because I already updated my sysnand to 6.2 through the official method, but I can't go online to update in my Emunand because I installed some NSPs in there.

Hey chest0r, did you notice any issues with your emunand after you did the upgrade? And did you keep your emunand the same after you did the upgrade or did you switch it up with the new features on 2.4?

Yes, need to add the boot.dat to my sdcard. I'm hoping it's just that simple.
