Just a simple "roms" folder works for all rom-files?

    You can!

He is mistaken, pretend your SD card is G: drive and do it like this:

    G:\nes\mario3.nfc
    G:\snes\supermarioworld.sfc

You CAN do G:\roms\nes\ and I do it as well but you have to go to File Manager and add SDMC location "roms" then press Save and it will scan that folder for the rom folders (nes, snes) too.

Thanks for the useful response... My problem is related to exfat support though. Bigger SD card would not change anything in my case.

It's very sad that one very nice DZ Tinfoil feature isn't working:
Click on the right stick in the list (not the tab) to make ALL files visible instead of only NEW ones.

That works for me? I just tried it in New DLC and it showed me everything, not just installed titles DLC.

DLCs are the exception, they're always shown like with DZ Tinfoil. For whatever reason.
    But not Base- and Update-NSPs.

Just tried on New Updates and that works fine for me too, there are too many titles in New Games for me to verify but I'm sure that works as well xD

Yeah, I'm using an 400GB eXFAT microSD, no problems at all, too.
No need to split anything for me.

You mean it works for you with DZ Tinfoil, not SX-installer, right ?

You can use exfat, but there is a chance of corruption or it may (it might be doing it right now!) nibble away at your free space until you have none left, then you will have to format to get the free space back. Exiting homebrew apps using the home button is a quick way to corrupt your SD card. This doesn't happen with FAT32 but you need to split large XCI because of the limitation.

P.S. the memory dumper/cheat scanner doesn't play nice with ExFAT, gotta use fat32.

    In SX-Installer, yes.

so you are going off fear as your reason for not using exFat, on a "maybe" just from what you have read , would you not have "backups" sitting on your computer or in my case on my Nas, so if i lose something i still have it

I use exfat. If you want to use the cheat scanner then you need fat32.

okay must have read that part wrong about you not using exfat me bad sorry ops , I see a lot of people make posts about doing or not doing stuff with their switch out of fear of what they have read, and see that lead to a whole new set of issues that does not need to be in existence

and i don't do the cheats as well

Would be very nice if it could mount xcis over ftp. With my usb3 ethernet adapter and my ethernet attached NAS I get ~40MB/s when installing nsp or copying files from it. If I try to mount an xci over ftp I get error 2568 but mounts them fine from sd card. Hope to see it working in future.
