I can now confirm that the GW team have responded to my emails regarding my brick and provided a forwarding address to send it to. My vendor on the other hand still continued to ignore my emails. Anyway. hopefully, i can get this sorted out, yet they still warn that if clone use or modified launchers where used then they wont fix it and a shipping & handling fee applies.

I still stand by my ground 100% that I used their own files on a genuine GW cart.

    Watch this space!

Mind sharing the shipping address? :P

Good luck man, keep this thread updated. Hopefully in a few weeks, they won't throw a "We've detected a modified launcher" and charge you $100 to get it back.

    GW response:-

"Please write on your 'from' address (where you put your address) 'For GW, hold'.
And we will collect from them

Again we remind you: if you bricked it using a clone or modified launcher, we
will see it right away, and you will lose money, as we won't repair it, and you
will have to pay shipping & handling fee. Do not waste your money and our time
if you know it is the case, because we only offer support for legit Gateway
users. Others must contact their flashcarts producers.
Remember to include your Gateway card, your SD card and if possible your NAND
    backup, with the console.
we will refund shipping cost if it proves legit".

I would rather keep the forward address private for now unless GW release it themselves, as I dont want to cause any further issues with my brick return if I shared it out. Hope everyone understands that.

    Thanks

what do you need their adress if you dont have a brick,
in the end i beileve all gateway brick etc topics must be collected to one place and each troll to receive a ban

I want to know where they're at, calm your titties guys.

Best bet is China, but a Google maps search sounds like a nice time spender. I doubt the address they gave you is their exact one.

Are you the first person to actually send your device in to get it fixed? Also yeah I wouldn't share their address... Would only cause problems I assume.

If they're the reason for the brick then they should waste their time for something THEY did?

Devin posted a response from the team that was fairly similar to the one posted here. From what I recall of Devin's case, it goes to a forwarder and (assuming the sender has the proper labeling [For Gateway]) it goes out to its destination wherever the Gateway team is posted. And there seriously is no need for an address if you don't have a brick.

This is disturbing confidence. They assume there is nothing buggy in their product that could trigger the kill code like the clones would.

I thought as much. All the secrecy about it on this thread is kind of stupid though, what's the big deal?

It's not a big deal. I have seen this happen on many occasions, where sometimes it is just preferred to deal a shipping forwarder. If they want to keep where they are located a secret, then let them; there should not be a need for anybody who doesn't have a problem to know information that just does not need to be known.

He told you why he didnt give it.
If you want it, ask gateway.

Id use a forwarder too if i dealt in black market (gray in some countries)
    products.

the fact they are actually letting people send them in suggests they aren't as sure as you suggest, but simply want to make sure they dont get tons of clone users wasting their time

No, I mean why is it a big issue to share it on this thread. I know why it's an issue on Gateway's part, but it shouldn't be for anyone here.

    ...Unless... CHINESE MAFIA! :rofl2:

He edited his post with the reason after I responded.
