Nintendo opened its latest subsidiary, Nintendo of Korea, led by Mineo Kouda, on July 20, 2006. The DS Lite is the first system to be released in South Korea by the subsidiary,[41] being released on January 18, 2007 for ?150,000 (US$159).[42] Popular Korean actor Jang Dong-gun has been enlisted to help promote the system. Five colors[citation needed] (Crystal White, Ice Blue, Noble Pink, Tangerine Orange[citation needed], and Jet Black) were released.
