Nice strategy. Avoid the big rush of 1st party games, wait for more people to own a 3DS, and hit em with a popular title.

Yeah, that's how iit is with the huge 3DS bomba more people own 3DS now than ever.
Maybe they hit some technical issues? Do people ever think of this other than "OMG LOL THEY'RE SCARED OF FIRST PARTY TITLES".

Technical issues wouldn't explain why it's only the NA version that's being delayed

That's one commercial that even shows the hated "bro-gamers" playing Star Fox 64. I bet those same people would be in a Call of Duty commercial playing CoD. But forget that, Nintendo is so hardcore!

Nintendo says their hardcore, their fanboys say their hardcore, but by every means they definitely advertise to casuals. If you don't see that then you're blind as a bat.

"Nintendo games are better so that's why others are delayed" is the dumbest excuse I've ever seen.

So you want us to exclusively talk about Tales of the Abyss? There isn't much to say about a delay other than saying it's because they're scared of first party titles without giving a single link to a source.

To me, their games are simply overhyped and everyone will be like OMGZ MARIO IN THREE DEEEEE and buy them all. These developers simply know that.

How do you know it's not because of that? Maybe it is, maybe it is not. In fact, in the past some companies stated that it's more difficult to sell games on Nintendo platforms because the 1st party games are so strong. Even Sony admits this:

So third parties always had to struggle on Nintendo platforms (even on the NES and SNES days) to sell their games against Nintendo games and this is still going. So it is not so unrealistic to think of Namco delaying it because of Mario Kart and Mario 3D Land.

It is a possibility. Just because you say no doesn't make it fact. Please Guild, let us enjoy our 3DS, pretty please...

That's all good, but bashing about the commercials, who their target audience is and systems capabilities has nothing to do with the delay of the game.

You may find Nintendo's games aren't all that great, but a lot of people do enjoy them so it all comes down to your taste. Some people love them and others don't so much.

There is noway a switch to "non-fanboy" would change your view about Nintendo first parties so soon.

They're not overhyped. Sure, maybe on the temp there are a lot of hyped fans, but really that's not that many people.
