I recently used wiigator .3g to play ToSII DotNW (ntsc) on my ntsc Wii. I am now at the 3rd chapter and the only anime cutscene I have seen is the one at the beginning of the game. Has any one else had this problem? I feel like I am missing good chunks of the story (especially between the end of chapter 2 and the beginning of ch.3). Is their a fix? Thanks!

(my first post LOVE this forum!!!)

    That's normal.

I'm on chapter four and I have not seen one as well and I own an actual copy.

This game doesn't have anime cutscenes (or, it's just a few).

I only ask because I found a pic of the back of the game case that said "New characters, skits, and over 8 hours cutscenes." I'm 13 hours in (lots of grinding) and haven't seen one yet.

Played the backup from start to finish all the cutscenes are there and work flawlessly Most of them are towards the end of the game. and i think they count the "skits" as cutscenes in that 8 hour total, as there might be a total of 30-45 minutes of actual "anime cutscenes" and i think even that is stretching it.

Theres only one anime cutscene on the game (alredy seen the GT review), all other curscenes are real time ingame scenes

linkinworm is right, there are 4 movies including the opening and ending. If you extract the files using Trucha Signer you can watch them using THPPlay. If you open the ISO file in Trucha Signer, you will see the files:

    \ROOT\Movie\op.thp - Opening - 2 mins 29 seconds
    \ROOT\Movie\ep08_s39.thp - Episode 08, Scene 39 - 1 min 39 seconds
    \ROOT\Movie\ep08_s46.thp - Episode 08, Scene 46 - 8 mins 54 seconds
    \ROOT\Movie\ed.thp - Ending (credits) - 5 mins 23 seconds

All the rest of the cutscenes in the game likely use the game engine.

So the alternate endings use the game engine then I presume.

Either that, or the movies are stored somewhere else in the ISO. I'm leaning more towards the game engine but who knows, some Wii games are weird that way.
