I think life bottle translations did tales of destiny director's cut as well. It's like 99% complete, so I don't know what's going on with either.
yeah, maybe it's on the hitus/pause, but from the look of the relases tab for innocence R patch, the last update was on march 10th, 2022, at 99% for most of the major translation points, tho it is a "pre-relase" update patch not a leatest patch labeled.

not sure what that means, but it's okay to use for now.

I installed it with repatch a while back. I think I have a photo of it working. I haven't started innocence r though. I was kinda waiting until it was completely done. though, I don't really ever play pirated games, which is what it is on my system.

I think they are proofreading their translations, because Tales of Innocence, which I am playing right now presents still some lines in japanese (2 as far as I remember) and symbols are off. Maybe they have slowed down the pacing, since the translation is complete and now it requires only some checking. But the translation of Innocence R is very playable and apart for two lines and some symbols, it does not seem to be a beta release.
and Yes, LifeBottle is doing Tales of Destiny DC under a different name, but I have not played this one yet. I saw Davidinc doing some videos about it and I found it quite complete.
I also saw on twitter that they started translating Rebirth, yet I do not see anywhere a github page for the progresses.

Rebirth would have been nice.
At this point, what are even the big JRPG we don't have a translation for?
kuro no kiseki and the second, sakura wars 2-3-4; ys v ps2, dragon quest x are the first to come into my mind, persona 2 eternal punishment psp, the first devil summoner, fate/extra ccc too.
LuminaTales is doing Tales of Destiny 2 but since march there are not updates...
others are the two yakuzas set in feudal Japan (Kenzan-Ishin), the PS4 version of Star Ocean 2, Princess Crown (a proto odin sphere) and some Atelier prior to Iris (IFRC Marie+Elie on PS2 was fan translated not long ago, but Lilie and Grammad duology not).
Yo-Kai watch 4 is another one i would have tried if it were a translation.

Kuro no Kiseki is too early, it'll be translated.
Sakura Wars - yeah :(
YS V - can't really say I'm worried about it. The game seems very heavy on gameplay and I'd rather play the newer ones.
DQ X - Square Enix are wrong about investing so much money into all the Western games they ended up selling for so little... it's a shame they won't even bother to localize the Offline version, likely. At least the Offline will be easier to translate by fans eventually.
Persona 2 - I thought the PS1 version is translated?
I'd likely end up passing on Devil SUmmoner anyway. I remember trying the remake on 3DS (Soul Hackers) and it just felt bad to play. Maybe I'll give it another chance.
I forgot about Tales of Destiny 2 :(
Those Yakuza games are very likely to be localized. Sega did say they want to do more remasters and now there's a market for it with Ghost of Tsushima, Sekiro.
I wish one of those Mana Khemia games was translated. Pretty sure there's one that isn't. The other Atelier don't really bother me.

And Yokai Watch 4, alongside that other one on Switch are such a shame. Level 5 seems to be in a very bad state now. Sony could have saved them, Xbox but nope, they'd all rather spend fortune on Bungie and Activision or some random developer for no reason at all.
Persona 2 innocent sin was fan translated on the ps1, and atlus translated on the psp; for the sequel, eternal punishment, it is the contrary: the psp edition is being fan translated. what's interesting is that on psp eternal punishment can import the save of the previous chapter, giving some different dialogue options, at least from what I have heard.
I hope Falcom will make a remake of Ys v like they did with Celceta: it will be the best version to play. I agree with you about Kuro no Kiseki: too soon to lose hope. (and yet Trails into Reverie/Hajimari is fan translated on PC...)
for Dragon Quest X, my hopes are in future nintendo directs, at least nintendo was keen in the past to license them for the west (dragon quest 4-5-6-7-8 on the DS-3DS were licensed by Nintendo and brought to the West, while the Monsters spin-offs on the 3DS remained officially unlocalised, and hopefully fan translated.)
Soul Hackers was a slog to play through. If I weren't invested in the story, probably I would have drop it as soon as the first maze. For the same reason I have not tried Etrian Odyssey or similar games, except for Strange Journey Redux.
Both Mana Khemia were on the PS2 translated officially, it's on the PSP that the first one came, while the second has a menu patch.
Surge Concerto DX is asia-japan only. It is a compilation of Ar Nosurge and Ciel Nosurge for PS4-Switch-PC that as of today it is still unlocalised, while Ar Nosurge Plus was for PS3-Vita, and Ciel Nosurge Vita Offline should be fan translated. It's a shame, since an official translation exists and Gust-Koei Tecmo love to release their games on as much platforms as possible.
Yo-Kai Watch 4++ is the greatest offender for not being localised, but some other games are still unlocalised: on the 3DS there are Busters 2 (which according to those who played is terrible), and Sangokushi (a yo-kai watch tactics game similar to pokemon conquest), on the Switch there is also Yo-Kai Y Academy, which I have little information for. At least Yo-Kai Watch 1 Switch was fan translated!
Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi is still unlocalised: it's a musou clone by Capcom, and in the serie only the first and the third one are localised.
Shiren The Wanderer on PSP are unlocalised, but I think there is a fan patch for the third one. The prequel of Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines on PS1-PSP is still Japan-only.

To be fair, I'm still not sure if I even want to play Yokai Watch, haha. YW 4 I'd definitely love to play just because the combat system looks similar to Ni No Kuni 2 and the yokai designs are amazing.

But YW 1-3 have been in my backlog and I have attempted playing...they feel a bit off, but the biggest issue for me is their combat system. It just wasn't satisfying for me.

Etrian Odyssey was interesting to me because of the way it tells a story. There's narration and apparently choices which change the ending? I'm still looking for a game that is focused on being a first-person dungeon-crawler while having an immersive story, hidden paths, etc. So far all these games are too focused on waifus for me. And Legend of Grimrock is just too gross.
The closest to what I want is Labyrinth of Refrain but I couldn't understand how to enjoy the combat in that game.
yo-kai watch too, I ended up dropping them because of how childish these games are. I can stand pokemon but yo-kai watch no.
Strange Journey on the 3DS is an interesting game: it has a great story, lots of choices, first-person dungeon crawling and hidden paths in dungeons. the last ones were WAY TOO LONG for me, and the secret one for getting the redux endings was too big even to start. I was able to finish for the story, which was very engrossing, and hated the dungeons (especially #E). Also no waifus from what I can remember (not like devil survivor 2) :-))
there is also Persona Q and Q2 which are similar to etrian odyssey, but I have not tried them yet. Labyrinth of Refrain is under my radar for a long time, yet I did not started it yet. I know there is a sequel in Japan: Labyrinth of Galleria. on the 3DS there is Beyond the Labyrinth by tri-ace, a dungeon crawling with a fan translation. I also know about Lost Child, Ray Gigant and Zanki Zero (the last two also on PC): they may be what you are looking for.

Are you interested on Yokai Blasters?

Hi all,
i've been checking the english patch release page for new updates to this translation project,
and as of the 24th of june it has gotten a serious update patch,

i've updated the OP post with the new info,
but basically now the game is so close to 100% fully patched in english,
i've patched my game and tested it out on my vita using the new patch and info,
it seems that the only thing that is still in japanese/not complete is the "Battle book" section of the menu,
it is still in japanese and some of it is out ofplace a bit,
but everything else including the "synopsis" section that tells you of all the important events that have happened in the game so far is in english finally :) .

also, patching the two files is super easy with the new .bat file and setup of the folders etc is easy to do.

hope this helps :) .

You should update the 360 to newest dash before RGHing it yes. But not a big deal if you don't, you can install new dash/avatar updates after. It's just easier to do it auto online before, instead manual offline after.

@BigOnYa I wanted to ask you about your experience with seeing south park. Most of the people a bit younger like my younger brother and cousins that are a few younger than me that saw kids found south park funny because of the curse words, kids at school, that seemed like liking the show on a very basic level.

I could not quite have a in depth discussion of the show.

How was it for you? As an adult. What did you find the most interesting part about it. Did you relate to the parents of the kids and their situations. Was it satires, the commentary on society. The references on celebrities' and pop culture.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I remember seeing the very first episode back in the day, and have watched every episode since. I used to set my VCR to record them even, shows how long ago.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just like any comedies really, and cartoons have always been a favorite of mine. Family guy, American Dad, Futurama, Cleveland Show, Simpsons - I like them all.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
South Park is great cause they always touch on relavent issues going on today, and make something funny out of it.
