I will be taking a plane trip to another state very soon.

The trip will be 4 hours, and I will have absolutely nothing to do if I don't bring my Nintendo DS.

This would normally not be a problem, however along with my DS I will be bringing my TTDS with a 2 gig microSD card with a lot of questionable data.

I was wondering if it would be a good idea to do this.. I'd just hate the security guy to actually know what a TopToy is and be all like "WTF IS GOING ON HERE!?!?!?"

If anyone could provide some insight or talk about their experiences taking a DS w/ a flashcart on an airplane, I would appreciate it very much.

I hate it when people ask these questions. You obviously won't get caught having a flash cart in your ds. Even if they looked directly at your TTDS they probably wouldn't know what it was. Even if they did they aren't going to turn it on, and open up your roms folder. I have brought flash carts on planes before, and I guarantee nothing will happen to you... [IMG]

Exactly. From the x-ray screen they will not be able to tell that you have a flashcart inside your DS even if they know what flashcarts are and look like.

Yeah, nothing at all will happen. This is what happens to me when I go on a plane through security.

    1. Empty my pockets
    2. Put all my shit thats in my pockets into my bakpack.
    3. Put my backpack on the x-ray machine to be scanned.
    4. Pick it up on the other side.

They don't take out each item and inspect it individually, that would take forever, and the x-ray machine doesn't detect roms lol

Imagine all the people who would be busted if they investigated the music on peoples mp3 players or computers when they went through the airport. Of course they wouldn't...and its the same thing with your DS.

This question sounds comical to me...

If you're into them, grab an RPG game (such as one of the Final Fantasy games).
No doubt they'll provide you with hours of gameplay. [IMG]

I apologize for asking such a stupid question then.

I've only been on a plane once in my life and it was years ago.

Thanks for your replies though.. I feel more confident now.

    dont apologize
its quite normal for you to be thinking that
some people just get a bit touchy or something
    but yeah
they dont really check that stuff
they are more into bombs, or like drugs or stuff like that
little details like a flashcart in a DS wont matter much to them
they probably wont even check there
(unless they think its suspicious, so dont act nervous or anything!)
well, hope your flight is safe :] happy flying and playing!

Yeah flashcarts and stuff like that people don't really care about on planes and if you cross a border. But if you're flying like a dozen of them to sell, then you can get into trouble. I think.

If you're that worried about it. You could always put the SD card inside of a digital camera. [IMG]
