Founded in the U.K., Codemasters is a studio that notably worked on racing titles such as Dirt Rally series and Formula 1 licences. The veteran studio might however be sold to U.S. company Take-Two in a £739m ($973m) deal; a deal that has yet to be finalised at the time of writing. Both companies did however confirm the existence this deal following media reports.

"Take-Two believes that the combination of Take-Two and Codemasters would bring together two world-class interactive entertainment portfolios, with a highly complementary fit between 2K and Codemasters in the racing genre," Take-Two said.

i've noticed how jobs pay less and less the more missions you grind in a row
i've seen every new car getting more and more expensive
i've seen how much they've hammered in buying shark cards

They offer online optional purchases if you want it, not forced too.

billy has an expensive orbital cannon that he can camp in his base and kill me over and over with
billy also has an expensive oopressor mk2 that he can go around being a dick to everyone in the lobby with
billy also has that one super expensive truck he can camp in some allyway and call attack drones and airstrikes with, that also costs significantly more, and has significantly more health than something reasonable like an insurgent

the game is pay to win, if you weren't a blind fanboy you'd notice. i'm behind on content so far back because i decided to play other games that don't require such a grind that sucks all the life out of me, especially when it comes to dealing with a toxic playerbase that's trying to kill me, and a passive mode that's utterly useless
