Definately Fire Emblem DS. Stunning game, difficulty is not to hard not to easy.
And if you finish the game once, you can set the difficulty higher.
Definately a must-buy, just amazing game.

If you have a choice and can only play one of the two, I'd play Luminous Arc 2 instead of 1. It seems to be a better overall Strat RPG and has a funnier/more interesting story, not to mention the weirdest interludes this side of WarioWare.
