    I'm running on 3.3E with a Wiikey2, and I have HBC 1.0.3, WAD Manager 1.4, cMIOS rev3 and cIOS36.

I tried updating the Shop channel, using this: http://hbcapps.com/updater%20noob%202.tar.gz
I put the 2 folders in my apps folder on my SD card and ran them both under HBC.

When I try starting it up, it just resets my Wii, jumping back to the system menu.

    What am I doing wrong?

    That updater is outdated.

    Try WiiSCU: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/WiiSCU
That can update shop as well as Mii, photo, new, weather, and a few IOSes. IOS61 is used by the latest shop channel.

WiiSCU install the IOSes needed when updating the channels. Does it patch the IOSes it installs? I just learned that you can patch IOSes you install before installing them to get the trucha bug back in them. So if I was to install any new IOS I would like to make sure it's patched before installing it.
