Hacking Question SysNAND and EmuNAND SX on different versions?

Hello all,

I have been using Atmosphere on 4.1 with no AutoRCM for a while now, but I am tired of not being able to play newer games with higher key requirements.

I am thinking of getting SX OS and getting EmuNAND on 6.2 while keeping my OFW at 4.1, so here is what I need to know:

A) was the issue with running different FW versions definitively fixed on SX? I remember it being a problem some months ago.

B) Would I absolutely need to switch to AutoRCM? Can I keep it manual if I am very careful?

On 7.0 synand you can have 6.2 emunand, dunno if you can have 6.2 emunand on 4.1 sysnand, i think that yes, also autorcm isn't needed, if emunand is detected it will always boot into it after you put your switch in rcm and inject sx os payload.

If you mean autorcm for burning fuses, emunand won't burnt them

Interesting. That's a higher FW vs. a lower one. I wonder how a lower vs. higher would fare.

you can have sysnand on 4.1 and emunand on 6.2. that's exactly my current setup

A) no issue as far as now
B) no need for autoRCM because you only boot to 6.2 on CFW so your fuse is safe
