It has been well over a year since I updated any IOS's on my wii to support USB loading.

Today I tried installing a couple WAD files using Wad Manager 1.7, was getting error - 1 installing with IOS 249.

I tried with IOS 250 and they installed the channel fine , but now when I run them it tries to load but goes right back to the WII system menu.
I then tried uninstalling and installing again with IOS 36 with the same behavoiur of installing fine but not running when choosing the channel?

Any advice on what I should do or if I should update anything here?

THanks,

It could also be that you don't have the forwarder on the USB/SD. Also, don't update all wads, if you have some trucha signed one already, you might want to keep some of them. Load backups from disc..

That system is horribly outdated. Your wad issues are because you're missing a lot of IOSes.

I'd suggest using something like ModMii to update it. 3.3 is ancient.

I tend to agree with this advise.
