Hacking sx os wont recognise xci files

I thought that firmware 5.1.0 had the update for the exFat format?

The exfat update is a separate update and not included with any firmware update, it just installs the exfat drivers, for whatever stupid reason I dont know why it wasnt included

Let the switch format the sdcard, make sure the file names have no spaces

For example super_mario_atmoswhere.xci

edit: you have to download the update, itll download on its own if you have an exfat card in and are on the internet

It wasn't included because Nintendo would have to pay additional fees to have it come standard in all Nintendo Switch units. exFAT is a proprietary format owned by Microsoft. By forcing users to download it manually, they pay less money overall.

turns out that u have to insert an sd card in order to get this "update"
which i didnt when i was online...
