Hacking SX OS Switch won't play latest Super Smash Bro Ultimate

Use SX OS Switch, have 10.2. Updated (xbns) with 10.2, latest shown. Now when starting Super Smash Bro Ultimate get a message that system needs to be updated. argh..... Wanted "Steve" character added. Can I "downgrade" the game by installing an older update version, or will it stay at unplayable newer version? Or, could I uninstall SSBU and then reinstall but with an older update? Does anyoneone know how you get the "Steve" character? This Switch never goes online.

You need to be on 11.0+ to play the latest SSBU. Unfortunately the latest sxos only supports up to 11.0 so your best option is to update to that FW. Only Atmosphere can run on 11.1.

i mean if you on 11.0
you can play the latest smash update if it was installed in tinfoil
since tinfoil removes softfirmware checks

OK, OFW on 10.2, use SX OS to install games, ChoiDujourNX to install OS updates. Facts are straight. I'll wait til SX OS supports 11+ then update. Thanks for the help.

If you cant be bothered to wait I'd give the Yuzu emulator a try, the game runs great on it if you have a decent PC latest update/DLC work too.

That is a weird suggestion. I mean he could also just migrate to Atmosphere and continue playing.

Worked fine for me on 10.0.4 installed with Gold Leaf. On SX as well. Like someone said, you need to use an installer that ignores FW check.
