I have a cartridge game (BOTW) and consider to play through SX OS.

I assume it will not start the game as the game data is on the cartridge.
So - what will happen, if I use a BOTW.xci and star it? Anything I will have to care about?

What happen to my loved savefiles?

Save data is stored on system memory, not in the cartridge. Nothing will change when you play the xci version

So all I have to do is selecting the xci within the sx os menu?

You know - I am a bit concerned about my save files...

Btw: What will happen to the home Switch - home Menu. Will it show to different BOTWs?

Just wondering...

Nothing will happen and it will not show up as a different file. You can just continue where you left off.
If you're so concerned about the saves, just backup them with checkpoint before.

It's highly recommended to use your own catridge dump rather than a "scene release", so that you'll have a legit certificate. Won't 100% guarantee that you won't get banned, but it should be safer.
