Hello.

Recently i have installed picofly modchip on my switch oled. The installation went mostly fine, i had some alignment issues on the nand side but after realigning it, it showed good resistance values. The modchip boots instantly to picofly toolbox but if i try to boot hekate then it shows low battery symbol. I have tried unplugging the modchip, nintendo logo shows up but shortly after that low battery and it shuts down. I have checked the battery, the voltage is 4.167V and that is near full battery right ? What could be the issue since the battery indicator is completely wrong ?

I have remembered one more thing, after the installantion, battery percentage was higher and it was booting to no payload.bin detected but i did not create the sd card files instantly but later.

I recall there are 2 resistors/datalines near the CPU that are required for battery information communication.
If you get no battery information in Hekate then the traces or resistors might be damaged.

The official firmware requires a good battery to start.
Afaik this is some sort of safety measure as bad/depleted batteries can catch fire.

Do you maybe know where exactly are those resistors located ?

Maybe it could be fuel gauge chip ? It also tells battery status.

The one problem I have with a lot of beard balms like that is that they smell so intensely that it's like the only thing I can smell for an hour
  • Veho @ Veho:
Question, what does a beard balm/wax actually do? Is it just a hair oil product, or does it act as a gel and shapes it or what?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Yeah it's a hair oil, kind of like a leave-in conditioner, but it also helps to keep your skin under the beard moisturized a bit, and since it is oily it does help a tiny bit with helping it hold its shape or lay flatter especially after brushing it
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I rarely ever use it, really only if I'm going out and trying to look/smell a tiny bit nicer. Kind of like how I treat cologne lol
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
The one I have right now that I use every once in a while is tobacco + vanilla scented. It smells -fantastic- IMO, but same issue, for like the first hour or two it is just an ever present scent that I smell on every single inhale.
