SOLVED

Today I got my SX Pro. I installed SX OS and AutoRCM without ease. Games had worked perfectly fine, and everything was good. I switched my focus over to homebrew and downloaded the Switch Appstore. Again, downloading a couple apps and everything seemed to be doing well. I opened up DeSmuME-NX and was greeted to an error on my screen. Black screen, white text. I don't remember what it had said, but my guess was that it was related to the emulator... maybe because I didn't have ROMs installed

I had to force my Switch to turn off, and since then I haven't been able to get it back on. Because of AutoRCM, I have no idea if the Switch itself is even turning on, since I'm just greeted with a black screen

I've held the power button on the Switch for minutes at a time, and I've repeated the process while holding Vol+Up and the screen stays black

I've tried booting the Switch with both the SX Pro dongle, Jig, and variations with and without it, and still nothing

When unplugging my micro SD card from my Switch, I don't get a boot.dat error. Putting a fresh boot.dat file on my SD root does not fix anything

Maybe when not paying attention my battery could have died, but it has been sitting on the charger for an hour or so and was already at around 50% before shutting down on me

My only method to launch payloads is via the SX Pro dongle. If there's anything I'm missing or anything I can try let me know. I'm gonna let my Switch sit on my charger for a bit longer. Anyone who can maybe help me I appreciate it in advance!

Edit: Switch is NTSC on 5.1.0

Connecting to a power source should turn it on. You should be in RCM right now. Charge the dongle using a micro USB for 5 seconds and plug into the Switch.

Power button for minutes at a time? Geez. It hard powers off after 12 seconds.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

When in doubt just tap the power button. Unlike most devices the power button needs only be tapped (not held for any length of time) for the system to power on. No vol + needed with AutoRCM.

Figures that the last thing I would've tried was the thing that actually worked, haha. It totally slipped my mind that the SX Pro dongle is only good for so many reboots. Connected the dongle to my computer to charge it, booted my Switch right up

Somewhere between all of this, my Switch SD card became read-only, so I'm attempting to fix that without having to transfer my data to my computer, format the card, and then send everything back over

Thank you for the tip, you saved me a lot of unneeded stress

The hard power down might have been the culprit. I think I remember that the solution might be to select all files and go-to properties and then advanced. Check (or uncheck?) "File is ready for archiving". I suppose first you should ensure that if you are using an adapter that the little switch is not set to the read only position. Also maybe uncheck "read only" in properties. All else fails...fuck it. Reformat.

I think the SD adapter I had grabbed was bugged somehow. Using another one and I didn't get the error at all. Everything is as it should be now, thankfully

I don't know why but I've had MicroSD card adapters fail a lot. I don't understand. It's just a pin converter.
