Install with gold leaf.I succesfully updated to ReiNX CFW. How can I run .nsp files now?
Just curious, does it kill the switches battery fast playing games off of a hard drive in portable mode? (SXOS)
I was thinking about buying a 1tb M.2 SSD with enclosure. Only a couple games and my 32gb microSD card is already full!
Ok I'm still trying to wrap my head around all of this. I'm thinking about buying sx os pro, if I got it right. I can make a CFW and then I can just boot into my OFW to play my legit games online without worry and keep homebrew and backups (offline) in CFW? I heard I can also keep wifi on with stealth mode. Is there any specific tutorial or something that might be useful for noobs? thank you!
Buy a larger SD card if you don't want a cable dangling around.
The es and fs patches are meant for usage with stock Atmosphere, not Kosmos. Kosmos has a separate download for the es patches on their thread and Hekate performs the fs_nosigchk on its own so there is no need for external patches. Not to mention external fs patches won't even work with Kosmos because Hekate is hardcoded to only load its own fs_nosigchk. Meaning Kosmos lacks one fs patch that may be causing your issue which are the ACID patches. These are for "poor" .XCI to .NSP file converts or for .XCI files installed with blawar's version of Tinfoil. His tool even now has a message warning users that if they use Kosmos, certain games won't work precisely because Kosmos lacks ACID patches and you cannot use ACID patches as explained earlier. Your choice is to either use stock Atmosphere with those es/fs patches or ReiNX which bundles all patches automatically.I updated my firmware from 7.0.1 to 8.0.0 using ChoiDujourNX, installed Atmosphere 0.8.9 and Kosmos 12.1.2, downloaded the es and fs patches from: https://gbatemp.net/threads/i-heard-that-you-guys-need-some-sweet-patches-for-atmosphere.521164/ and am using hekate ver. 4.10.1 with my rcm dongle (autoRCM enabled).
I can boot into CFW just fine and play all of my previously installed games, but when I try to launch new games that I've installed AFTER the firmware update it gives me an error telling me that the software can't be launched and when I try to launch it a second time it tells me it's corrupted.
Some games I tried to install I've had them installed before, but I deleted their save data and game data from Data Management before trying to install them again. Others I had never had them prior to now.
One game is a converted .nsp from xci - does that have anything to do with the error?
The other is the 1.0.3 update for MK 11 - I could play the game on 1.0.2, but after trying to update to 1.0.3 I've been getting this error (hence the reason why I updated in the first place, thinking that fw 8.0.0 would make the MK update work).
How can I fix this?
I don't think the browser will work on 7.0.1 now that the latest firmware is 8.0.1I am on latest kosmos version and the switch is in 7.0.1, I had a problem before that if i go to browser i normally go to google both on browsernx nsp and goldleaf nsp on google once i click the search line kind of thing the keyboard does not come up but the line comes then home button does nothing and so does the power button touchscreen works then it freezes, later i found out it was sys net cheat (this was like a month ago), Now it is happening again with no sys netcheat i just got emuiibo then deleted it and now the browser does not work(please do not say "Why can't you just use your phone or computer")
I need a fix plz
And fast
No because boot0/boot1 are also firmware-specific so you cannot restore your rawnand or else you will make the problem worse. Now your only option is to use ChoiDujour to rebuild your NAND. ChoiDujour only supports up to firmware 6.1 so keep that in mind when following the guide I just linked. And for step 6, use Lockpick_RCM to obtain the keys.hi,
i think i have bricked my Nintendo switch and can't make it turn on again
tried the "press power button for 15 secs then press it again" method and it didn't work no matter how long i press it.
i made a nand backup when it was on 7.0.1 FW and updated it to 8.0.1 two days later i just changed Retroarch UI driver and my switch turn off
I'm trying to restore the nand backup but all to tutorials indicate that im missing two files which are BOOT0 and BOOT1
all i have in my backup folder is the following:
8-letter folder, inside it two folders and a bin file
- a folder named "dumps" with two files in it "fuses.bin" and "tsec_keys.bin".
- a folder named "restore" and in it an empty folder named "partitions"
- a file named "rawnand.bin"
and that's it, can i restore nand and get my Switch into a working condition again?
SD cards are still too expensive. For the same price of a 400gb sd card I can get the 1tb ssd and I'm sure it would be faster too.
Not that concerned about a cable. Wasn't sure how bad battery drain would be tho. If a little that's not bad, but maybe it kills it really fast then that wouldn't be a good way to go.
so i updated my firm thur choidjuournx and now i get this error.
pls help
ohh shid where do i find those again? been awhile since i flexed my switch knowledgeUpdate your CFW files.

Hey there, I'm uploading only emunand to 8.0.1 but its my first time with ChoiDujourNX, when I load the FW, it tell me to choose between 8.0.1 and 8.0.1 (ExFat), what should I choose? should I choose ExFat because I have my SD in ExFat format?
Thanks.
much thankshttps://github.com/AtlasNX/Kosmos/releases

Update with the exFAT option, but exFAT is more prone to file corruption than FAT32.
Use EmuNAND for offline CFW and clean SysNAND on the latest firmware for online and eShop. If you install EmuNAND as hidden partition, it’s very unlikely that Nintendo will detect it and ban you. For now no one has been banned for offline EmuNAND and clean SysNAND.Hello,
I know that this is probably a noob's question, but hey this is why I am posting it here.
So, basically, I have a Switch on version 4.0.1 and I got myself an SX Pro kit.
I want to be able to backup my retail card and play them, but also run emulators (NES/SNES/GBA) and access legitimate Nintendo eShop and buy games from there. I can't say that I am really that interested in playing online, but this might happen.
If I understand correctly, Nintendo is able to detect SX usage even if I run EmuNAND, correct?
But my main question is, should I upgrade my SysNAND to the latest version? I know about the fuses are being burnt during the startup of the Nintendo bootloader, that's why I haven't connected my Switch to any network since I bought it and only played cartridge games.
I would like to know the cons and pros of such upgrade and if I will be able to achieve what I want at all.
If I would need to sacrifice something, that would be the ability to play backups, but not emulators or access to eShop.
Sorry, if this is still a dumb question.
