Hi guys,
I just updated to Hekate 6.2.2 and Atmosphere 1.8.0, which worked fine,
but after updating to FW 19.0.0 with daybreak I can't boot into Atmosphere anymore:
I get this error after the boot logos, any suggestions?

Atmosphère Fatal Report (v1.1):
Result: 0x222A02 (2002-4373)
Program ID: 010000000000001f
Process Name: ns
Firmware: 19.0.0 (Atmosphère 1.8.0-master-c6014b533)
Maybe SD card got corrupted?
All I can suggest is to make a backup of your atmosphere and bootloader folders somewhere on your PC and delete them from the SD card afterwards. After that, grab the latest fresh builds of the Atmosphere and Hekate from their official repositories and boot into CFW and see if it works. After that, you can start re-adding (and updating if necessary) sysmodules you had installed. Also, update firmware to the 19.0.1 as Nintendo fixed some of the issues 19.0.0 had.

I just bought a Nintendo Switch v2 with a mod chip. I wanted to know how do I update to the latest version of Atmosphere? Can I do everything through the Switch or do I have to use the PC?
I'd suggest that you do that manually by using PC as AIO updaters can sometimes mess things up. You can check this guide for more info.

I don't mind leaving the atmosphere in an old version but I would like to update the original system to play free to play games online. Is it possible?
If you want to play games online, the normal procedure would be to use an emuMMC for your CFW needs (Atmosphere), and a clean sysMMC for playing online. You never install pirated contents on your sysMMC to stay clean, and you should be ok. Of course, since you bought your Switch used, you don't know if it has always been clean, you'll just have to cross your fingers you're not banned already. If you don't plan on playing pirated contents, you might get away with just using Atmosphere on sysMMC, but why risk it?

with emuMMC is there additional hardware mod requirements? i vaguely remember someone mentioning it in a switch modification video
Also, with emuMMC since i would probably be using the cfw way more than the ofw is it possible to have the cfw on the sysMMC and the ofw on the emuMMC, making the responsiveness issue less apperent?

Also any whileyoureintheres would be appreciated since im going to be case swaping the launch switch(potentially patched batch, crossing my fingers till it arrives hah) i bought. thinking of hall effect joystics and a bigger battery for now

Responsiveness issue? There is none. And to answer your question, NO. OFW cannot be emummc. You *can* run CFW on sysMMC, but if you ever install an nsp you will get banned. Or use cheats or mods in an online game... that will also get you banned.

i had seen in other threads comparing emu vs sysmmc for cfw that due to the lesser speed of sd cards compared to nand, if you dont have this, which sd card are you using and realistically, does it matter?

I play(ed) Animal Crossing New Horizons and The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild on CFW emuMMC on one of my Switches and on stock sysMMC on another Switch. So far I haven't really noticed any significant slowdowns (loading times might be a bit shorter but nothing worth mentioning). The SD card I'm using is the 256GB SanDisk Extreme.

I have Tinfail intalled...

That's your issue! You need TinFOIL, not TinFAIL...

Sorry, I had to...

But anyway, what exactly do you mean "They don't appear"? You need to install games using Tinfoil, it's a title installer. Games won't just magically appear because you downloaded the app. You find the games on ROM sites, something we are not allowed to link to here.

EDIT: Also, Tinfoil is really old and outdated, you need something like TinWoo: https://gbatemp.net/threads/new-tinwoo-installer.659872/

I installed some games and everything went fine. But when i start the game it is stuck on the message "

Checking if software can be played". Anyone an idea how to fix that?

No account linked to the console. Games installed with Awoo.

If you're on Atmosphere 1.8.0+ and firmware 19.0.0+, download sys-patch as well.
You might have outdated sigpatches and/or sys-patch. If that's the case, I'd suggest removing them from your SD card and copying new files (having sys-patch is enough nowadays, you don't have to have sigpatches as well).

I downloaded the latest on this forum and put them both in my root directory. No changes.

Am I doing something wrong when installing them both?

Hi everyone! Yesterday I tried to backup the NAND of a new Switch I got, basically following this guide: https://web.archive.org/web/20240826040302/https://rentry.org/SettingUpIncognito
I waited 15 minutes, and at the end of the process NxNandManager said something went wrong during the verification step; but it still produced a 12 GB file. Since I wanted to blank out the PRODINFO partition and I wasn't sure that backup could be used in case something went wrong, I did the same for PRODINFO alone and got a similar error.
Should I extract the keys of my Switch before doing backups? Will it work then? Or do we have a better way to backup the NAND?

Backing up the keys before doing the backups won't make a difference. Just don't use NxNandManager. Use Hekate by itself to backup the NAND. Make sure you have an SD card that has at least 32 GB free.

Thank you.
I'm pretty noob when it comes to emuNAND, which is the current configuration of this new Switch. Correct me if I'm wrong, I think I was only backing up a portion of the NAND when using NxNandManager, since I only mounted the emuNAND (this would also explain the 12 GB file). Can I do the same thing with Hekate? I don't have 32 GB of free space on my Switch, and using a different microSD is too much for me rn

if I can't I'll see what I can delete and make a full backup.
Also, I remember NxNandManager asking for keys when I tried to blank out the PRODINFO partition. Are they needed to do that or did I misread?
P.S. if you have any pointers for a valid guide you can just link those, and I'll read them myself 😃

Hey everyone, i think i bricked my Switch.
I couldn't enter Sysnand anymore after firmware update but emunand worked. So i wanted to restore my eMMC Backup i made when i first modded my switch.
The first thing i did is i restored BOOT0 and BOOT1 which did fine but when i tried to restore rawnand i encountered an error that the file is too large. No problem i thought.
I just turn of my console, plug in a SD Card with exfat partition and the required files.
So i turned it back on and BAM! there was my Problem!
Blue Screen of Death right after turning it on. No logo no anything.
my console normally boots directly into RCM, so i thought the restored BOOT lead to a normal start or something, so i tried reentering RCM Manually but i still get the Bluescreen immediatly after trying to turn it on.

Saddly i did not find any help online. Most posts about Blue Screen state that they can still see the bootlogo, enter maintenance mode and hetake.. but i can't.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Is there any homebrew that can keep my Switch awake indefinitely in docked mode? I've tried changing TV settings, but my TV screen still goes dark in 5 minutes.

I left my Nintendo V2 connected in rest mode inside a plastic bag (the one that comes with the console) but when I picked up the console its fan made a lot of noise and It only stopped after I restarted the console, did I do something wrong? I bought the switch on the 1st of this month and it unlocked on the 3rd.
