I'm unable to run Pokemon Scarlet or Shield using the actual cartridge with it stating

Some necessary data could not be found. It will downloaded now

How do I fix that and allow the game that I own be run on a switch that I own but have hacked.

Hi there

I've been reading A LOT but I didn't find how to solve my problem

I have a Switch with Hekate/Atmosphere

I can boot perfectly in emummc, but Im unable to boot either Stock or CFW:
"Pkg2 decryption failed/
pkg1/pkg2 mismatch or old hekate/

Failed to load HOS/

Press any key..."

Hekate v6.2.1
18.1.1.0JAMS 1.1.7|E

Any advice would be appreciated, thenks in advance

What firmware is Sysnand OFW on? If it is 19.0.x use Atmosphere 1.8.0 and Hekate 6.2.2.

So I have a very peculiar situation. I am currently on HOS 19.0.1, Atm 1.8.0-c6014b533 with sigpatches for 19.0.0 v5 found in the sigpatches thread, sys-patch v1.5.4 by Impeeza, running fusee.bin built with kip patches reenabled (restored this code and rebuilt with 1900_support libnx). Built a new forwarder for Tinfoil. Everything seems to launch ok, install ok from Tinfoil except one game in particular: Dungeons 4. It installs ok in Tinfoil (ticket imports successfully). I can then return to the home screen and play it (once). If I close the game, restart the Switch, The game then checks if it can be played and of course fails that. Ticket is no longer on the system. Reinstall, check with DBI, and it complains it cant read the ticket. (I did this assuming it was a ticket flagged as temporary, DBI will fix this). So I load up the NSP in NXFileViewer and it reads as Permanent. OK. I have it compressed, so I load it up in nsz and extract it, analyze the ticket in HxD against the switchbrew wiki and it looks fine! For the life of me, I cant figure out what is causing this issue!

I recently chocked it up to MAYBE a sys-module causing issues and disabled them all (including sys-patch), this is where I found my fusee.bin actually works 😎; sys-patch was just a fall-back. Anywho, same result here, so I have since reenabled my sys-modules and lay here stumped worse than a tree that has been dead for a millennia!

Edit: also forgot to mention, I installed it at one point in time with DBI and it successfully imported the ticked, but later couldn't read it when going to tools -> Cleanup orphaned files.

Edit2: sys-patch does report noncasigchk_new and nocntch2 as Unpatched under fs.So I attempted to make new fs patches with MrDudes IPS Patch creator with firm files of 19.0.1 and that just made things worse. Seems like I may be missing a particular pattern for fs patches.

Lets elaborate a bit on this. 18.1.0.40 was the last v18 HOS before 19.0.0. You state 18.1.1.0 which I believe was never released.
There is stock-sysnand, CFW-sysnand, and CFW-emunand.
If you cant boot into stock-sysnand, something is REALLY borked!
Assuming you can boot into CFW-emunand, this seems like it is ok.
Making ALOT of assumptions here, it SEEMS like you "accidently" updated your stock-sysnand to 19.0+ and that would require Atmosphere 1.8.0-pre, Hekate v6.2.2, but since emunand didn't update, the old hekate and atmosphere works fine when booting emunand.

OK. I think I found the issue in my own oversight. Not sure how that happened. But my D4 dump is reporting Crypto type 0 instead of 18. So anyone know how to import a modified ticket onto the switch? (compared with TMNT:MU Base and the D4 update)

Hi All! New switch owner here.

Recently bought an unpatched v1 switch.
My OFW is 19.0.1 As previous owner auto updated it.

Tried following tutorials to mod but came into multiple issues trying to run the latest atmostphere.

Used hekate v6.2.2 & Nyx v1.6.4 and Atmosphère 1.8.0

Using Sandisk 256gB micro sd.

Replaced sys-patch files.

Sd card partion created(29GB). Emummc in partition instead of SD.

Managed to boot into SYSMMC (saw that exosphere replaces the serial number, and have “|S” when looking at the firmware.

As of now, cant boot into EmuMMC CFW.
Every time i tried, it came out the error:

“Unknown pkg1 version.
HOS Version not supported.
Or EmuMMC corrupt!

Tryng backup bootloader..
Found pkg1

Failed to lauch HOS.”

Anyone can help?

I haven't used my switch in 1+ years and I would like to update atmosphere, hekate and system firmware. What's the safest order to do that? Also since it's the first time I update system firmware, how do I do that on emuNAND which is obviously unable to contact nintendo servers? is there a site to download it? Thank you.

Try this tutorial from @impeeza

It also applies to your question, @TheJinKazama

The previous owner may have corrupted the emuMMC. I would just recommend making a new one.

You have to update your firmware. There is no way to spoof the required firmware.

Oof. That's not looking good. Would be good if they at least put some FAQ & troubleshooting pages up; rather than ask somebody who clearly knows very little about the subject.
