If I wanted to upgrade my microSD to a larger capacity one, would I have to redo the softmod from scratch, or is there a way to clone the current microSD to the bigger one?

I'm aware that the Switch creates a hidden drive on the microSD, which may or may not be cloneable.

Oh! So the hidden partition created on the microSD doesn't matter, and Hekate/Atmosphere recreates it automatically? It's as simple as copying the contents 1:1 from the microSD's accessible drive to the new microSD?
It does matter. Copying 1:1 only works with a file-based emuNAND, not with a partition-based one.

The emuNAND contains important stuff such as user profiles, game saves, tickets and prodinfo, among other things. With a partition-based emuNAND, none of that is included in the accessible drive.

Hekate can create an emuNAND partition on a blank microSD and fill it with a clone of your sysNAND to start from scratch, but if you already have a microSD in your modded console, it likely has an emuNAND partition with data you want to keep. The linked guide has a few methods to copy that partition safely to a new microSD.

How do I figure out whether my microSD's emuNAND is file-based or partition-based?

It has file-based emuNAND if:
- it contains a folder named EmuMMC/SD00,
- Disk Manager on PC shows only 1 partition for that SD card.

It has partition-based emuNAND if:
- it contains a folder named EmuMMC/RAW1,
- Disk Manager on PC shows 2 or more partitions for that SD card.

Has anyone worked with fpd archives? Are there any methods of unzipping? (New Fate/stay night by type-moon)

Hello everyone! I encountered a problem, I want to ask for your help, at night I installed picofly and ruined the switch, at first it started in hekatu, in it I made emunand and saved the prod key, but I didn’t make a backup copy of sysnand, I restored everything that I ruined by a long way, but having tried all the methods through tegra I cleared the nand, and the question is, is it possible to make a copy from the working emmunand and restore it in sysnand?

Why not? I don't see why it wouldn't work. But if you installed nsps on your emunand already, obviously, your sysNAND would then be dirty as well. If you want to avoid being banned, that's a problem.

switch was completely empty I didn't have time to install anything I only did emunand and prod key saved and only then discovered a problem with the processor power controller

tell me what tool to use to make a copy from emunand to return it to sysnand, thank you very much in advance!

I believe you can turn on SD emuMMC Raw Partition then make a backup of boot0/boot1 and then turn off the SD emuMMC Raw Partition option and then restore to the internal Emmc.

So when i tried modding a few weeks back i failed at modding the switch because of an error(fusee.bin) so restarted the modding process once a couple days ago then got the same fusee.bin error so i looked it up on youtube in know worst thing i could have done. that didn't work so i used the guide which should have been my first thing i used. but i got it working i just want to know if I'm screwed because i just want to revert the modding i don't know if its on the Nand of the switch or if its just on the SD card. i haven't installed any pirated games or anything. i just want to know if its safe to go on the internet.

Hi, new problem encountered.

Picofly able to boot Hekate, when rebooting to ofw, it shows Nintendo logo then just a black screen.

Removing the Picofly connection boots into ofw just fine.

I can create Emunand and boot into it

What could be the issue?

Hi everyone!! I have been out from the Arcade on Switch for a good while.

What would be the best option to emulate Arcade today on the Switch? PFBA? Retroarch? MAME? I would really appreciate your help because my son wants to try an Arcade game but I just realized that the PFBA release I have, its about 4 years old and does not work anymore. Si I'll be very grateful if you point me in the right direction, please.

Thank you in advance!!!
