Hacking Switch Informations by serial number - READ THE FIRST POST before asking questions

You should double check your serial, that looks wrong. But if it came with 3.0.1, it is unpatched.

It was a refurb model and is the serial number on the switch. It didn't come in the original box, so I don't think it had a serial number, but I have to double check. I'm going to run the test later and will let you know my results to keep
this thing updated!

What are the chances to get a f.g. unpatched switch online in germany? Maybe better find one at offline stores? Any advice?

I bought mine especially for the chance of getting a patched one in the store for 320€ just recently (4 weeks ago). There are sometimes offers, also in stores (see mediamarkt saturn, lookout here https://www.mydealz.de/gruppe/nintendo-switch), but you should try to get it as soon as possible, and keep in mind, the first post here has valuable information to check the serial (in case of doubt, lower serial means older switch, which means not patched. Good luck on trying to find one. You'll probably find one, I found multiple unpatched on my first try 4 weeks ago. Maybe you need to check multiple stores.

I asked the rep at the counter to help me find a system with older software, I was looking for them by serial number. Listed them the very first acceptable range, they looked in their book, bam - here you go.

Well this blows. I referenced the OP and XAW10091XXXXXX was listed as a unpatched serial range for 4.1.0 / OK . Anyway, after acquiring a switch off craigslist with this serial range it definitely inst working with sx pro dongle. I just now discovered the full spreadsheet and that serial range is listed as definitely patched! I've already added this info to the spreadsheet but posting here to share / warn as well. Only good thing here is this switch is in great shape and i got a free memory card so reselling should be easy.....

Can i kindly request the OP be updated?

Look, I don’t say it is your fault, but it kinda is your fault. The OP says that all serials above XAW1008XXX could potentially be patched. There has no clear pattern emerged yet. Last week we had a XAW1009XXX that was still unpatched and that’s why it is in the unpatched list. The OP clearly says that only XAW1007XXX and under are definitely unpatched.

Also, you referred to the spreadsheet, but the spreadsheet is just referring to this thread regarding the „patchedness“. The spreadsheet is not updated and the XAW1009 boundary was draw artificial since there no data above XAW1008XXX at the time.

Fixed it, but I am pretty sure that the 5. digit would not make a difference.

No it's not! XAW1001 is a very old serial, probably a launch model.

No offense to anyone, but my guess is if the first post had been a youtube video, there would not be anymore of these "Is it patched?" messages from people who won't read.
