Any serial number that start with XAW = Western and mostly likely USA.

I don’t think the patch has hit the USA yet. It has been mostly in Asia.

You can use TegraRCMSmash now to test whether your console is patched or not, no need to wait for sx
???It's OK, don't worry.
According to 1st post, unpatched switches are: XAW100575 - XAW100787.
So you are in this range, you have an unpatched switch.

its on the bottom of the switch itself, on a stickerHi OP, @Essometer
For Asia box, the serial number is not visible from the outside.
And I think a lot of peoples do not know where to find the serial number on the box.
So, do you think it is a good idea to include this sample picture for Asia unit on your first post ?
Thanks.

Ah true, i didn't understand you, that is a bit confusing for Asia users.I totally understand that.
But the reporting template asks if the unit serial number is the same as the serial on the box.
You don't have to have a micro sd to test f-g, just send a payload to your switch.Serial: XAW700165
Serial on device matches serial on box: Yes
Region: USA
Firmware: 4.10
Color option: Black/Grey
Store: Best Buy
Was a bundle (if yes, which): no
Purchase date: 7/13 (packing label on box says 6/22 so been on the shelf a while)
Fusée Gelée works: Pending MicroSD to test
Even if TX would have access to such a patched console, I don't think they are the one who will "fix" it. We have seen the same thing with Gateway in the 3DS scene.I emailed TX to ask them if they plan to update their OS and fix this issue, and they basically said they are still looking for someone to send them one or more non compatible license. Maybe someone who has confirmed he has one could email them so we get this issue (maybe) fixed asap?
I did contact them via “contact us” 1.5 days ago. I'd like to back up my system before I start meddling in anything. You don't have to have a micro sd to test f-g, just send a payload to your switch.
You back up your system via hekate, which is a payload.I'd like to back up my system before I start meddling in anything.
You back up your system via hekate, which is a payload.
Launching a payload in itself won't harm your system in any way (unless it's a payload which it's sole purpose is to harm your system, which isn't the case here).
Just launch hekate and if it launches, congrats! After you see if it booted just turn off your device and you're done.
