It's likely unpatched. You should be good.

Hey sorry for my noob question, but I have a XAW1004111 which I believe means it is unpatched but the current firmware is 8.1, does that mean I cannot use CFWs?

8.1.0 is supported by Atmosphere, ReiNX and SX OS on all unPatched switches.

Everytime Nintendo updates their Firmware the CFW's need to be updated to be compatible with the switch.

And also your switch is not patched.

ANY switch with 4.1.0 is hackable, right?

Yes although an unpatched Switch is still better as it has more exploits and can get rid of the supernag.

If an ipatched Switch on 4.1.0 has connected to the internet (without 90DNS or PegaScape), then it will probably have the browser supernag, which will make it unhackable.

The only way to remove the supernag on a 4.1.0 ipatched Switch is by restoring an old NAND backup from before the browser nag using a hardware mod.

Wait. So you have the supernag you can’t hack the console? What?

If you have the supernag on a patched system because you connected it to the internet without a Nintendo-blocking DNS like PegaScape or 90DNS, then it is unhackable, yes.

The only way to get rid of the supernag on a patched Switch is by restoring an old NAND backup from before the supernag using a hardmod.

I'm retailer seller and ALL, I said ALL, switch that i have buyed on orange side(possible patched) are NOT patched! It's impossible to be only luck.

    Any ideas?

No, it's not entirely luck. The lower the serial number, the more likely it's unpatched. For example, serials between XAJ70040000000 - XAJ70050000000 are possibly patched (orange), but if you get systems with serial numbers closer to XAJ70040000000 than XAJ70050000000, you're more likely to get an unpatched unit.

I recommend checking the serial on the spreadsheet before making a purchase. It might help you narrow down the likelihood of a system being unpatched.

First, about how much Switches are we talking? That are the serials? Like @Lacius said, the closer they are to the green zone, the higher the chance for an unpatched Switch.
It has been also confirmed that there is no clean cutoff point, the green zone is getting smaller if a patched Switch is found in it. This means that start of yellow has a lot
of unpatched Switches, it is just that there is no absolute guarantee.

I have the opposite experience. I checked about 10 units with XAJ7004XXXXXXX serial and only one of them has been unpatched (XAJ700416XXXXX).
XAJ70043XXXXXX, XAJ70044XXXXXX, XAJ70045XXXXXX - they all are in the orange zone and they all has been patched.
As Lacius said: the closer to the green zone, the more likely that unit are unpatched.

At least 1 per week. I begin sell switch's about 3 months ago.

It's make sense because the switches that I buy are very used are more closer to the green.

Why are green zones wider in the db but smaller in the main post? My switch is in the green zone in the db but it's orange here. It's vulnerable btw.
