Hacking Switch Informations by serial number - READ THE FIRST POST before asking questions

Newbie here! Sorry if im asking a stupid question thats already been answered. I just want to be 100% sure. I have a XAW40012XXXXXX S/N & 4.1.0 firmare. Iv found mixed info about if it can be jailbroken or not, but the info here implies that its most likely not possible and has been patched. Am I mistaken?

We don't know. Only way to find out is by just testing the Switch and you have nothing to lose by trying. If that one guy's post on the previous page is any indication, it seems to be a refurbished console that in his experience are not usually patched but then again, none of us do not work at Nintendo so we cannot definitely say it is unpatched.

Q: I found a bundle XYZ. Is it patched or unpatched?
A: Bundles don't play any role whether a Switch is patched or unpatched. Always go after serials number.

Total newbie to switch Hacking .. I came across a red blue joycon switch with XAW100630xxxxx with4. 1.0 am waiting on a jig to come in mail to test with that firmware is it possible patched.. I'm in USA. all I've read indicates it is hackable. Thanks

Serials beginning with XAJ4:
Serials between XAJ40000000000 - XAJ40046000000 are safe to buy
Serials between XAJ40046000000 - XAJ40060000000 are possibly patched
Serials above XAJ40060000000 are definitely patched

I was afraid of it but I was hoping that the list was not updated. I understand that in this case it may take a long time for the serial number to be so high. Now the dilemma is to update or not update as it is likely that can't play many titles without doing it...

Try it out with a jig, the higher the serial the less accurate is the list.
