I don't know if this will be very helpful, but my first switch got a corrupted nand (according to Nintendo). it was still under warranty, so I got a replacement for it. anyway, the nintendo logo would sometimes come on, then other times, no response. at first, I thought it was a faulty battery or the dock wasn't charging it. what happened before that was coming back from sleep mode, I was presented with a message "a serious error has occurred." then, the system would no longer turn on. Nintendo said that since the nand got corrupted they were unable to salvage my saves. it almost made me not want to deal with the switch anymore. however, I had the switch plugged into an extension cable, and when I unplugged it, all three prongs fell out. I don't know if that caused some sort of surge or not. now, I have 3 switches with 148 legit games (digital only), and I've had no problems with any of them. it was probably a fluke or some sort of surge based on that thing that happened with the extension cable. I threw the extension cable away, and now my switches are plugged in directly.
