I just read that there's a demo of Surinuke Anatousu on the Japanese Nintendo Channel. Surinuke is a puzzle-ish game involving moving Tetris-like shapes through holes in successive walls, similar to that "human tetris" thing you see in videos of Japanese game shows.

The game was released this Wednesday past, but doesn't appear to have hit the pirating side of the web as yet, so I was curious if anyone with access to the Japanese Shop Channel could let us know how the game's demo is.

Well, you know, if you want something done right.

I just switched my shop region to Japan and downloaded the demo myself. The game takes you through two pages of tutorials, and then the first two stages of the game. It's very short, but gives you everything you need to understand to play the game; from what I can tell it can be played with Wiimote, Wiimote+nunchuk, or Classic Controller, but I imagine it would be incredibly hard to rotate and move the block in three dimensions with just the Wiimote, and didn't bother trying it yet. I don't own a Classic Controller.

The game gets pretty fast paced if you're shooting for a high score (the full game features wi-fi leaderboards), and you're given a somewhat strict time limit, but you shouldn't have too much trouble completing these two stages. After completing them you end up at a screen which I imagine says something like "Now go buy the game!" The top option returns you to the Shop Channel to do just that; will try to let people know what the others do.

EDIT: The Wii is in use at the moment, so instead you guys can have a comp of the banner graphics I just made.

I just did a quick video playthrough of the demo if anybody's interested.
