Hacking Supercard mini-sd help

When using the supercard mini-sd to play GBA, you need to use the key "R+L+A+select" to back up your saves, after you do the in game save, to the sd card otherwise the saves will be lost right? Is there a way to patch the roms so that I can use the in game saves only without using the "R+L+A+select" to back up my saves....
