SuperCard DS(ONE) OS Update v0220

The only game I can load using the fast read is Castlevania DoW. I'm using kingston 1gb (made in Japan) with speed set on 32. Every other game won't load.

Can't see any improvement here.

Castlevania POR still keeps randomly freezing when i press Start.
Mostly during fights when i want to drink a potion or change equipment.
No matter now if CleanRom with Enable Patch on/off
or Rom patched with v2.58 softwarepatcher.

Using PNY 1gig microsd with speed set to 30 (by autodetect).

and why is it suddenly called 0220??

when i downloaded it about an hour ago it was called 0120.
Is it in china already february?

Still too many problems with SC DS(ONE) to be worth it :/

Switched over to M3 DS Simply earlier this week and lovin' it... There's no worries of bs crashes (except maybe in PoR)...

Now to sell off the SC DS

I have a SanDisk 2GB microSD (non Ultra) & I'd like to know how to find the max speed on it. Any help is appreciated!Â

First of all, ignore the "Auto Set SD Speed" in the "Other" menu. It is rarely accurate or correct.

Go to the Option menu, pick "SD Speed", then pick "Other" at the bottom of the list. Set it to 20. Launch, say, Castlevania: POR.

If it launches you're good. Set the speed to one higher and try again.

If you get two black screens, then that's too fast for your card.

Aaaaactually 28 was my max speed with the December firmware. It appears with this new one my card can now handle 32 (the maximum!)

Maybe that'll fix my problem. I'll play around with it some more and see if I still get crashes.

I did what you said & it doesn't seem that the DSOne is saving the speed setting for me. How to I change this manually in the global.ini? There are 2 parts to the speed section & I'mnot sure what the top half is for:

No need to mess with global.ini. Once you set the speed setting, go to the "Other" menu and pick "Save Menu Option".

Why should you feel bad for us, supercard ds 1 is a very good card. It actually works better than the R4/M3 simply if you have a kingston 1gb (made in japan). By the way I own a R4ds and a M3 simply. I do recommend the R4DS right now, but I believe that they will fix all the problems on the SCDS 1 in the near future. Don't lose hope on the supercard team.

Another Edit: Anyone having issues with Animal Crossing with this new OS? I get stuck at the ESRB Warning screen after the dude says "Nintendo"....

My SAV size is correct & all other games are working. I even copied another copy of the ROM over the the card & have the same issue.

Can anyone else confirm this?

Tey Another Edit: I figured it out. "Use Patcher" was on by default so Aminal Crossing didn't work until I disabled that feature. BEWARE!!!!

Found another strange thing. Maybe a bug.
The brightness control doesn't work anymore, atleast half of it.

I can still make it brighter with SELECT+R.
But i can't make it darker with SELECT+L anymore.

With the old 1229 it worked without a problem and my L button is not defect.

Does anyone have the same problem?

I can see the supercard SD etc... being updated for a few months yet. If supercard drops the cards right away for their slot 1 solution a lot of people will lose faith in them. They will eventually stop updating the firmware when most people have the slot 1. The updates for the supercard SD etc.. are just slow these days.

Feature: Supercard DS ONE support Clean ROMs, but need a high speed flash memory card. The feedback from our user, there are still a lot of low speed flash memory card at this moment. Most of the user use a low speed flash memory card meet a black or white screen problem. And they have to use our PC software to convert the ROMs, use Super Mode to play games.

Now NEW OS system released. We built-in the Super Mode into the NEW OS system. For most of the low speed flash memory card user, they just need to do one thing. Copy the Clean ROMs into flash memory card and Enable Patch function.

Enable Patch feature: (At menu: Other-->Enable Patch or shortcut: L+X)
1.Support Clean ROMS. (Just copy the Clean ROMs into flash memory and enable patch function)
2.Do not need to use PC software to support Super Mode.
3.Reset function support. "L+R+X+Y+A+B"
4."Saver:IN DS" function. Save to flash memory directly, never lost the save.
5.Support any speed flash memory card.
6.Do not need to select save size, NEW OS will select automatic.
7.Do not need to select card speed, NEW OS will select automatic.
8."Enable Cheat". This function will support in the feature.
For player, just need to do one thing, copy the ROMS into flash memory card and enable patch function.

It's a moonshell error... they're going to release an update using the newest release of moonshell (1.6), so you wont' have that message on startup.

Hi guys ... im trying this new version but i do have some questins.. wonder if you could help:

this on the fly patching is permanent? i mean.. do you play it patched one time and the next time you reload it you can turn of the patch?

second question: can some one explain all the options in the patch menu?

the patch is not permanent, you can turn it on/off at will.

- Enable patch: Turn on/off on the fly patching (other check boxes will be greyed out when unticked)
- Normal Read / Fast Read: switch between normal read and fast read (some games didn't work in fast read mode)
- Save in DS/ Save in SD: Switch between save directly to microSD or to SCDS1 memory (save on startup)
- Reset: Reset to SCDS1 menu
- Enable Cheat: Cheat function (haven't test it yet)

Games I have tested so far using Kingston (Japan) 1GB detected at 30x:

- Mario Kart
Game play: OK
Save to SD: OK

- Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan
Game play: PROBLEM (1.5 sec loading before actual play)
Save to SD: OK

- ACWW
Game play: FAIL (stuck at Nintendo logo)
Save to SD: -

- Metroid Prime Pinball
Game play: PROBLEM (sound lags)
Save to SD: OK

- Super Mario 64
Game play: OK
Save to SD: OK

I know

that test was for the new on the fly patch settings.
IMO i think it's an awesome feature, Supercard team should make it compatible to all games.
