I'm just happy they finally allowed full 6 degrees of freedom for the camera. Hopefully it's not just for the VR section.

If this doesn't have a Virtual Boy mode with the synthesizer and red/black graphics, I will be disappointed.

Ah, right you are. I guess I also didn't consider that the fixed perspective of the Virtual Boy would keep motion sickness from being much of a factor. The game still received really bad reviews lol.

Clearly they are testing the waters. I think Nintendo would absolutely destroy the vr market. Their art design with low powered consoles trumping the limitations of resolution is unparalleled. Their interactive controller design has been refined over the years into the joy cons which aren’t only and few steps away from very food vr controllers.

And everyone in the world wants mario kart vr.

But the switch is such a big hit, I’m not sure whether they’d just want to hold fire. Also it’d need to be portable vr imo unless they can power it through the switch and give us some form of holder for the switch like a mini backpack.

Yeah there's a knockoff cardboard headset from China now, it even has a strap. I was hoping for a plastic one tbh but for a single digit price I decided to give it a go, am waiting for it to arrive.

Multiple aliexpress sellers have the same model for basically the same price, here's one.

Hmm... Nintendo seems to be rather invested in the Switch I guess.
    Not bad.

There was a plastic one being sold before Labo VR ever became a thing (they're called the NS Glasses), but iirc it wasn't an actual VR headset. If you go to their website, you'll see that in one of their videos it's shown that it's just a big single glass lens. I've put a video review below, if you're curious about the whole thing.

Other than that, there was someone who made a 3D printed version of the official Labo VR headset (with a strap too).

Then you'll want to look into Oculus, Vive, or PSVR. This is not VR. Period.

    Well this looks fun ^_^

Not a mode you'd want to play the whole game on, or something that would tip the scale for people debating on buying it, but for people who already have a Labo VR (or any other way of strapping the Switch to your face) it could provide a few minutes' entertainment.

There's a plastic and canvas one with better straps here, but that one's $16, not as cheap as the cardboard versions.

I've been looking over these replacements, and they're fine if you want to buy/replace one Toycon, but buying the complete set of replacements ends up more expensive than just buying a Labo kit?

Oh good spot. Will keep that in mind if I don't like the cardboard version.

That one actually looks pretty good, I just hope the velcro strap is able to keep the Switch locked tight over long periods of time.

The only thing I really got from that was, I really want to dump that Wuhu Island map, it looks much nicer than the Wii version.
