If the JPN version works on NTSC or PAL wiis, do you think it would be possible to convert the saves to you region when you region comes out.

because i might get the JPN SSBB even though i allready preordered the NTSC one.
I don't want to get the JPN one because i don't want to unlock a bunch of stuff and then have to start all over again when i receive my NTSC one.
But the waiting will kill me.

Or I could just play the JPN one and leave the NTSC in it's nice plastic.

So what do you guys think?

Jap-NTSC saves have been compatible with USA-NTSC games. Like Super Mario Galaxy. So it's entire plausible that SSBB will be as well.

How do you go about doing this? Just renaming the file and putting it in the appropriate folder?

Well, if it makes you feel any better, Fox is the lightest character in Brawl in terms of knocking off the stage.

I was totally up for this about 15 pages back. I'd like to buy the game when it comes out here in PAL regions but nobody seems to be completely sure whether save game scan be converted or not.

I think WiiSaves had a thread about how impossible it was...that's all i know.

Yeah that's really pissing me off... Fox used to be one of my favorite characters in Melee... I can't believe he's been nerfed to such an extreme!

I doubt he's been "too" nerfed... but given his ubiquitous presence in competitive Melee nowadays, I'd welcome a small to medium nerf

He wasn't exactly heavy in Melee, either. One of the 5 lightest characters, IIRC.

We don't know 100% for sure but judging from all the demos the answer seems to be no. And her Final Smash is a glow, which gives her the Power Suit back. If there is an enemy right next to you when you do it though, they explode alla Jigglypuff's Rest.

Regarding being able to play as ZSS without the smash ball, you can bet that there will be a way. Sakurai isn't one to let something like that slip. We also have an on-site comment from one of the top localizers simply saying "count on it" in regards to allowing ZSS to start. A simple slip-up, but a helpful one.

I'd just like to point out while that the demos listed on the US Smash Bros. Brawl site are Ice Climber, Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Kid Icarus, Kirby's Adventure, Super Metroid, and Star Fox 64... the Japanese site has two alternative games: Fire Emblem and EarthBound.

Konami already has Snake in Brawl. I really doubt they would put 2 characters from the same third-party.

I'm hoping for a Capcom character: Mega Man, Ryu, Phoenix Wright, Jill Valentine, whatever...
