What can you be disappointed with an already announced Super Mario Maker 2? They already added a lot of new mechanics to be considered it's own sequel, in my opinion.

Hype!! The Switch has really needed a Mario Maker ever since launch, so I’m really excited for it.

I have to agree that it could be disappointing.
Seems like anything new in Super Mario Maker 2 could've Just as easily been DLC for the first game.

That's just kind of how it goes for user content-based games. The trailer already showed off a ton of legitimately new elements that can be used in making levels, but you have to draw a line between "DLC" and "sequel" somewhere - it's not like a sequel would suddenly turn it into a completely different game. The same, but more is pretty much exactly what anyone would have expected, and stuff like slopes or the background bullet bill launchers might have required actual engine changes.

To be more specific, any that works with a capacitive touch screen will work. the type of touch screens 99% of phones and tablets use. the ds/3ds/wii u on the other hand use a resistive touch screen that took any sort of pressure on the screen as input so anything worked.

Except the first game is not on the switch. which is probably the WHOLE point of SMM2.....

Well the levels are all downloaded online so yea it needs an online connection. True fans of Nintendo don't pirate their games anyway so no issue there.

  18. Doesn't anybody think its weird its also being released on the Wii U?

It's not afaik, the site only lists the switch as a playable console.
