I'm experiencing some little but noticeable enough slow-downs or lags during some movies in this game when I was playing via the usb loaders.

For example: the movie when the star lady drives the whole station into the center of the universe(last stage). The graphic looks a little choppy, and you will notice the same thing happening to the bgm too.

I've tried HDD, flash drives with no fragments, different versions of usb loaders and it all appears the same problem. I can't think of this has anything to do with the data transfer rate of the hard wares since:

    wii dvd drive 6x MAX = 8.31MB/s
USB 2.0 ports = 60MB/s and my hdd usually transfer files at 10+MB/s

So, could it be the problem of the game itself or the usb loaders? I wonder if this happens in the original copies.

    I have a softmodded wii on 4.0U + SMG NTSC-U. [IMG]

    Yeah, it works perfectly now!
But I still wonder what could possibly went wrong in rev12, isn't it suppose to have many thing corrected in the newer versions?

Read the thread about it. It has sacrificed speed for compatibility.

I just tested this out. I have rev12 and I experience no such slow down at all on every scene the OP describes.

Well, if you can't notice it by graphics, try volume up and listen to the bgm. The bgm was kinda teared into small pieces during some part of that movie I described on the top when I was still on rev12 moments ago.

And I'm still reading the thread about rev12 to figure out what's wrong, but at least it seems I'm not the only one who has issues specifically with SMG+rev12.

According to what is said on #cios, rev13 will increase the speeds again.
