It may not, because the USA one may just have the protection because its a Kiosk disc.... never know. Interesting to see how this JP one goes!

it will still start an update which will give you duplicate channels though

and since the original ran, you have to copy it first to see if the copy runs

I'll be very curious to read some of the comments in the news thread for the dump of this jpn version. I'm sure all the retail versions feature the same protection, but it would be interesting to discover that the protection really is a "kiosk disc" only effect...

I'm hoping for good news with this. I have a JPN Wii, so I'd need this to run the update without getting dupe channels. Then I'd be able to run the US version. FIngers crossed that it 'just runs' ... I've got Wiinja Deluxe and no word yet on a fix.
