They sometimes are. Depends on location. In the UK, I got mine from a high street shop. Bundled with 4 games.

Were the games printed on the box? Or did the shop just give you four games? The first one is a bundle, the second isn't.

Bundles are usually issued once, so you can tell roughly what firmware will be on it. If they just pull a console off the shelf and give you a game, then it could be any version. It would unlikely to be a low version though, unless they get zero customers.

No, completely separated but bundled together. - It had COD, horizon and another game on the box. Not coming 2017, but content of the actual games.

Found a store chain around here that has old pros so I went to one of the shops to check it out:
CUH 7016B - check
P-27452400-6 - check
old box art, no hdr logo - check
box looked old and like it had stayed there for a while (and been mishandled...)
no "coming 2017" on the back side with the games -
S01-742xxxxxx - contradictory info

What do you think about this? I will definitely go to check their other shops before making a purchase.

742 < 747 so it should be good

Pulled the trigger. Got one from another shop from the same chain - S01-735.........

Confirm it's 4.55.

If new, it should be on FW 4.55 or lower.
