ok,, before I start I have no intention of doing this, and I have luma cfw and a9lh installed on 11.3

SO when I did install those programs,, I remember that every 3ds has a specific otp file, and a specific nand.

so just a random thought I had,, what if somehow someone were to copy and replace an otp file AND the nand from a different 3ds, onto a new system. basically swap both files out,, would the 3ds be bricked? or would they work together and the system wont notice the difference

So hmm something else in the console is the identifier, I thought it was the otp file
Might be something worth checking out

Sorry to burst your bubble, but if that was the case we would have bothered with it a while ago. Yes it is something else in the system. AFAIK, the bootROM generates a specific set of keys that is console specific. You can inject somebody else's NAND through CTRNAND Injection. Flashing a NAND from a different console would have been possible by now, and loads more would have invested in hard mods if they were able to downgrade immediately. There is the information you need.

Even after we dump the bootrom, it will still be impossible to inject a different NAND without CTRNand.
