if I use this updater RELEASE: v4.2 Safe Firmware Updater

then I can skip the part about deleting th stub IOS's mentioned in xzxero's "Modify any Wii 4.2 & below" guide , right?

I think so, yes. But I though you already upgraded to 4.2 yesterday ?
Or are you trying to use it for you missing IOS's ? [IMG]

As I recall from our conversation yesterday you have bootmii as boot2 installed so
    you're safe to try it.

However I still think it's better to just follow the guide.

if your wii is already modded you can use dop-ios to install IOS70 and then system menu 4.2

True that, but yesterday he said he had some problems running certain games from disc channel (modchip).
So this indicated he's missing a few IOS's. Updating to 4.2 like that isn't going to fix his problem.

just use dop-ios to update all the ios's needed then as it'll not let you install a stub ios and the new v9gp deletes the stub ios's if you have any

I think you'd better follow the guide completely and don't skip anything !
Why would you want to do this anyways ?
It isn't going to save you *that* much time you know.

I didn't know that dop-ios could automatically do this. I thought you'd have to know which one you need yourself.
    If not, that's GREAT !!
