Street fighter creator would love to make nintendo X capcom

I'd love to see something like this, but it would definitely have to be an over the top fighter like Marvel vs Capcom 2/3 or Tatsunoko vs Capcom - it couldn't possibly have the more serious tone that Street Fighter IV carries.

That being said, it's definitely possible. Look at the MvC3 roster. Viewtiful Joe fighting Nathan Spencer? Hell, Viewtiful Joe fighting anyone is enough to prove that size and appearance don't matter. If they can have Viewtiful Joe fight Albert Wesker, then they can have Mario fight Ryu. It'd just have to have that cartoonish feel to it, like MvC3/TvC.

Or make it like Namco x Capcom. I guess many people didn't like it, but I LOVED it. I'd definitely buy a crossover title like that at launch.

I really like both companies, and they tend to do good stuff together, but I really can't see this working at all.

The compromise's needed would mean that neither companies hardcore fans would be happy with the controls or look of the game.

I actually laughed reading the first post as a Nintendo x Capcom crossover would be incredibly silly in execution.
No doubt it'd be epic as hell, with Nintendo's cast being redrawn by Kinu Nishimura. But if a game like this actually came to fruition, I don't really see like SUPER MARIO VS. STREET FIGHTER or something that ~epic~, that's just silly - Capcom would have to really draw from its bubbly and sometimes obscure bunch to represent their brand, i.e. Viewtiful Joe, SonSon, Megaman, and maybe even PowerStone characters.

But honestly, Ono and Sakurai teaming up would result in one incredible fighting game. :V

I'd support the idea if it was offered in two gameplays like how TekkenxSF and SFxTekken is.

I would love to play as Akuma in a SSB environment (Melee, specifically. AND I plan on making a PSA and vertex hack for Akuma over Ganondorf). I don't like Nintendo characters in a Street Fighter-esque engine to be honest but I wouldn't mind trying. (we even have Card Sagas Wars for that.)

I would LOVE to see this happen.

I'd like to see it go the route of SF v Tekken, and have two games with different controls. One would tailor to the Street Fighter style, and one would be more like Super Smash Bros.

I think I'd need several pairs of underwear to get through gameplay footage.
