I'm not a huge street fighter fan myself.. I played the game when I was little but that's about it. Not sure which version or which console this one's in, but the hype of the crowd makes me want to learn how to play this game simply because it looks like it's a very technical game. I love games where it's very technical (lke Super Smash Bros. Melee, not so much of Brawl).

But yeah, enjoy the video. It was a final round of a tournament hosted in 2004. Having very little knowledge of what went on, I still understood something like that is hard to do.

Any information about this game would be great for me. [IMG] I wanna get started on this game.

For a moment there I thought it was Street Fighter Awesome, like Metal Gear Solid Awesome.
But the video was pretty good still.

yeh, diago is awesome, not many SF tournament fighters are awesome and also entertaining

    edit-
and for those not familiar with SF3, a few points of interest:
First, Diago's (Ken) health gets so low that even a taunt would kill him
Chun Li plays it safe (douchebaggish) and hangs back to build up her special for an easy win
Diago recognizes this and waits for the special
He performs a full parry, meaning every frame that would deal damage to him he has to tap towards chun li, and as I recall chun li's special is one of the toughest to block because you have to jump and then parry one of the hits, if you don't jump, you'll get hit, and if you jump too late/early you'll most likely mess up the timing.
Then after that display of legit skill, he's built up enough power for his special and performs it immediately with no stuttering

The deal was that those aren't blocks, they're counters or some kind (can't remember exactly). So what the guy playing as Ken pulls off requires a very precise timing strategy and allows him to make the counter attack that makes him end up winning the round. The fact that he pulls off the perfect special move counter attack to finish is just icing on the cake and makes for some great drama.

    Woo, I remember this.
The Chun Li player figured "He only has what, like 1 HP left? I'll just use a Super move and chip him to death" since when blocking you still take chip damage.
So the Ken player gambled it all to parry everything which negates damage completely. (You tap forwad the moment you're going to get hit to parry high, down to parry low.)
So yea, he pulled off each parry perfectly and nabbed the win.

    Good times.

i love these games..and that is a sick freakin finish. they are called "tech hits" if i remember right and yea you have to press the button every single time your about to get hit, so that finisher was just ridiculous

Yeah, I had a feeling it had something to do with precise timing because it's similar to Super Smash Bros. Melee's wall techs. If performed correctly, it's a lifesaver. Thanks for the input. I'm gonna look for it and try it out now. [IMG]

These are the wall techs that are in Melee:

I'm assuming they're somewhat the same with the precise timing part.
