I am searching for options to stream the Wii U Gamepad and TV output to a PC so that they can be used as video sources in OBS Studio.

So far I have found two options:
1. DRC Simulator (aboood40091/drc-sim)
This streams only the gamepad to the PC. The PC can control the gamepad.

2. Streaming Plugin (Maschell/StreamingPluginWiiU)
This can stream both the gamepad and TV output.

Both of them seem to have been orphaned a long time ago and I am not sure how to get them working under Aroma. Any ideas? I do use Linux so Linux-only options are fine.

Capture cards are expensive, and personally I would just like using the original hardware instead of cemu

They are not if you're only going to be using HDMI.

MS2130 HDMI capture cards are cheap (less than $20) and decent for the price. You don't need to break the bank unless you're looking for features like 240p analog (composite / component) or even 4K capture, in which case you already know what to get.

$14 - https://www.ebay.com/itm/27554704588

Just buy a capture card instead of relying on software-based streaming plugins.

I've used an Elgato HD60 and it works perfectly.
